My name is Malika and I am a student of Class 6 at The Institute of Emerging Leaders School System. I joined TiEL in 2017 and have enjoyed every day since.

I have four siblings; one elder sister, two elder bothers and one younger brother. My father was a tailor and life was fine even if it was not a smooth sailing all the time however it took a sudden turn when we lost our father. He fell ill one day and never returned from the hospital. Our life came to a standstill. My father was the only bread earner and all five of us were still studying. We had to vacate the rented house and move in with my paternal uncle and his family. We had a tough time adjusting to that along with the loss of our father and the grief of our mother.

We came to know about The Institute of Emerging Leaders School System through a banner that was inviting Christian students for admissions. We were not sure if we would get admission however our mother said that it was worth visiting. We came to know that along with my younger brother and me who would be joining regular Morning School, our elder brother Bilawal could also avail Evening Support Classes where he would get free tuition for preparing for his upcoming Board exams. Our mother was relieved at having visited TiEL and finding out that she would not have to pay for our education. She made arrangements for our admissions and we started school.

Though my brother and I were nervous in the beginning, we overcame that as the faculty members and students were very friendly and supportive of our tragedy. Soon we settled down. Our mother started stitching clothes at home and with the little money she earned, we started adjusting to our new life. Our Uncle and Aunt also supported us a great deal.

I am happy to share that I was always a bright student and at TiEL I was able to improve even more. I secured good grades in all exams and after a year I was elected as Class Prefect. I was very happy that day.

At TiEL I have learnt a lot of interesting things about space, the earth and prehistoric times. I am really happy here and enjoy coming to school every day as the lessons are always interesting and fun.The teachers are constantly encouraging me to do my best. It is great knowing that they are there to help me reach my full potential.
