Venus Tuition Centers: Supporting Education and Holistic Development

The Institute of Emerging Leaders (TiEL), through the platform of the Interfaith League Against Poverty (I-LAP), proudly supports The National Baptist Church of Pakistan (NBCP) in operating Venus Tuition Centers near all NBCP churches, as part of its commitment to holistic community development and quality educational support.

These centers aim to assist school-going children from NBCP congregations, neighboring churches, and surrounding communities by providing academic guidance, homework support, and preparation for examinations. Through this initiative, TiEL seeks to promote educational excellence and equal learning opportunities for children from underserved backgrounds.

The Venus Tuition Centers play a vital role in bridging educational gaps. By offering consistent academic assistance, discipline, and encouragement, they provide a safe and supportive learning environment where students can strengthen their understanding of subjects and develop good study habits. Many students come from homes where parents are uneducated and unable to provide academic guidance, making the centers’ support essential for their progress and confidence.

Each center is managed by TiEL and staffed with one qualified teacher and one assistant, who provide effective academic guidance, discipline, and personalized attention. I-LAP financially supports the centers, covering staff remuneration and students’ study materials, ensuring that education remains accessible and high-quality.

The centers follow a multi-grade system, welcoming students from Nursery through Grade 10, and operate Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., offering structured and encouraging after-school learning.

Beyond academics, the centers focus on moral values, confidence, and social interaction, celebrating Christmas, Easter, and national days to reinforce a sense of belonging and community.

Through the Venus Tuition Centers, TiEL continues to invest in the education, character development, and future leadership of children, fulfilling its mission to serve both the Church and the wider community with compassion and purpose.
